Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") define the terms and conditions for using Storyie (hereinafter referred to as "the Service"). All registered users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") define the terms and conditions for using Storyie (hereinafter referred to as "the Service"). All registered users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
Article 2 (User Registration)
For the Service, registration shall be completed when a prospective registrant applies for user registration by agreeing to these Terms and following the method prescribed by the Company, and the Company approves this.
Article 3 (Management of User ID and Password)
Users shall properly manage the user ID and password of the Service at their own responsibility. Under no circumstances may Users transfer or lend their user ID and password to third parties, or share them with third parties.
Article 4 (Prohibited Actions)
Users shall not engage in the following actions when using the Service:
- Actions that violate laws or public order and morals
- Actions related to criminal activities
- Actions that infringe on intellectual property rights such as copyrights, trademark rights, etc. contained in the Service's content, etc.
- Actions that destroy or interfere with the functions of the Company's, other Users', or other third parties' servers or networks
- Actions that commercially use information obtained through the Service
- Actions that may interfere with the operation of the Company's services
- Unauthorized access or attempts to do so
- Actions to collect or accumulate personal information, etc. about other Users
- Actions that use the Service for improper purposes
- Actions that cause disadvantage, damage, or discomfort to other Users of the Service or other third parties
- Impersonating other Users
- Advertising, publicity, solicitation, or sales activities on the Service that are not authorized by the Company
- Actions aimed at meeting members of the opposite sex with whom one is not acquainted
- Actions that directly or indirectly provide benefits to antisocial forces in connection with the Company's services
- Other actions that the Company deems inappropriate
Article 5 (Suspension of Service Provision, etc.)
The Company may suspend or interrupt the provision of all or part of the Service without prior notice to Users if it determines that any of the following reasons exist:
- When performing maintenance, inspection, or updates to the computer system related to the Service
- When it becomes difficult to provide the Service due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fire, power outages, or natural disasters
- When computers or communication lines, etc. stop due to accidents
- When the Company determines that it is difficult to provide the Service
Article 6 (Copyright)
Users may only use the Service and post or upload information such as text, images, or videos for which they have the necessary intellectual property rights such as copyrights, or for which they have obtained permission from the necessary rights holders.
Copyrights for text, images, videos, etc. posted or uploaded by Users through the use of the Service shall be reserved by the User or other existing rights holders.
Article 7 (Subscription and Payment)
7.1 Subscription Plans
The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions provide access to additional features as described on the Service.
7.2 Billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
- Payment is processed through secure third-party payment providers (Stripe, Apple App Store, or Google Play Store)
- Prices are displayed in your local currency where available
7.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- Web: Go to Settings > Subscription > Cancel Subscription
- iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Storyie > Cancel
- Android: Google Play > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Storyie > Cancel
Upon cancellation:
- You retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period
- No partial refunds are provided for unused time
- Your data and diary entries remain accessible
- You may resubscribe at any time
For free trials, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid charges.
7.4 Refunds
Refunds are available in the following cases:
- Duplicate charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same subscription
- Billing errors: If the charged amount differs from the displayed price
- Service unavailability: If the service is inaccessible for more than 7 consecutive days due to technical issues on our end
Refunds are not provided for:
- Change of mind after purchase
- Partial usage of subscription period
- Forgetting to cancel before renewal
- Issues caused by your device or internet connection
To request a refund:
- Contact us via the inquiry form within 30 days of the charge
- Include your registered email address and transaction details
- We will review your request and respond within 7 business days
- Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 14 business days
For subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play Store, please request refunds directly through each platform:

- Google: Google Play Help
7.5 Account Deletion vs. Cancellation
Cancellation
- Future billing: Stopped
- Your data: Kept
- Resubscribe: Yes
Account Deletion
- Future billing: Stopped
- Your data: Permanently deleted
- Resubscribe: Need new account
To delete your account, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
Article 8 (Disclaimer of Warranty and Limitation of Liability)
The Company does not guarantee, either explicitly or implicitly, that the Service is free from defects (including defects in safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, fitness for a particular purpose, security, etc., errors and bugs, and infringement of rights).
Article 9 (Changes to Service Content, etc.)
The Company may change the content of the Service or discontinue the provision of the Service without notice to Users, and shall not be liable for any damage caused to Users as a result.
Article 10 (Changes to Terms of Service)
The Company may change these Terms at any time without notice to Users if it deems it necessary. After these Terms are changed, when a User starts using the Service, the User shall be deemed to have agreed to the changed Terms.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
Japanese law shall be the governing law for the interpretation of these Terms. In the event of a dispute arising in connection with the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's head office shall be the exclusive agreed-upon jurisdiction.
