आज का काम था: almirah के अंदर एक छोटा PLA hook print करना जिसमें vernier caliper लटका सकूँ। caliper पिछले दो साल से एक कपड़े में लिपटा shelf पर पड़ा रहता था — हर बार निकालने में दो मिनट बर्बाद, और हर बार डर रहता था कि कहीं गिरकर jaw टेढ़ा न हो जाए। आज तय किया, इसका permanent ठिकाना बनाऊँगा।
Slicer में design simple रखी: 40 mm × 12 mm flat base, 8 mm का forward lip, 3 mm wall thickness। almirah की steel shelf 18 mm मोटी है, इसलिए hook की grip depth 20 mm रखी — 2 mm clearance ताकि fit snug हो, press-fit नहीं। Cura में model load किया, support नहीं चाहिए था इस geometry को।
Print log — attempt 1 और 2:
- Filament: Sunlu PLA+, white, पुराने batch का बचा हुआ रील।
- Nozzle: पहले 195°C set किया (पुरानी habit से)।
- Bed: 60°C, PEI sheet, isopropyl alcohol से साफ़ की।
- Layer height: 0.2 mm, infill 20%, no brim।
- Attempt 1 result: 28 minute पर lip और base का junction delaminate हो गया — print बीच में बेकार।
गड़बड़ का नोट: Sunlu PLA+ के datasheet में 200–220°C लिखा है। मैंने बिना जाँचे 195°C set किया जो generic PLA का default है। junction पर layer bond कमज़ोर पड़ा क्योंकि overhang angle पर material ठीक से fuse नहीं हुआ।
Attempt 2: nozzle 210°C किया, 5 mm brim जोड़ी ताकि base अच्छे से bed पर टिके। इस बार print clean निकला, total time 48 min। lip की geometry देखी तो corner radius थोड़ा sharp था — caliper डालते वक्त PLA पर scratch का निशान पड़ा, पर structural damage नहीं।
सुरक्षा: printer चल रहा था तो धूल का मास्क पहना और खिड़की खुली रखी। PLA fumes कम होती हैं, लेकिन बंद balcony में hour भर की printing में accumulate होती हैं — यह नोट करना ज़रूरी लगा।
नतीजा यह रहा कि hook अभी almirah की shelf पर fit है, caliper आसानी से in-out होता है। इस इस्तेमाल के लिए ठीक है। अगली बार infill 25% रखूँगा और lip के inner corner पर 1.5 mm fillet दूँगा ताकि caliper jaw को scratch न लगे।
