Try this practical approach: When you catch yourself spiraling into self-criticism, pause. Ask yourself what you'd tell a friend in the same situation. Would you say "You're such an idiot for missing that detail"? Probably not. You'd acknowledge it was a mistake, help them fix it, and move forward.
